Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, Cork City Council hereby gives notice of its intention to install traffic calming measures in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users at the Clogheenmilcon Fen in Blarney and Model Village, Tower. Cork City Council proposes to carry out various measures to improve pedestrian infrastructure and facilities on the R617, L-2796, L-2752 and L-6857. The main features of the proposed scheme are:- Installing Puffin Crossing, footpath improvements and ancillary works on the R617 at Clogheenmilcon Fen. Installing a Zebra Crossing on the L-2796 at the Clogheenmilcon Fen. Provision of a raised table uncontrolled crossing on the R617 by Tower Shopping Centre and additional footpath works. Provision of a raised table uncontrolled crossing on the L-2752 Kerry Road. Pedestrian improvements and adjustment to parking on the L-6857 Shournagh Valley Road. Associated Anti Skid Surfacing.
