Planning permission has been sought for a proposed new development of 58 new homes to be built at the old Hydro site in Tower. According to one local resident, “The proposed entrance is across from Riverview Estate (just near the bus stop). Cannot begin to imagine what disruption the addition of over 100 extra cars (each household typically has 2 cars these days) going into and out of a housing estate on an already incredibly busy road. Not to mention the ruination of such a historical and beautiful site. There is simply inadequate road infrastructure to deal with this level of development in the centre of Tower.”
