The teachers and staff of Rathpeacon National School were delighted to welcome all of our pupils to school on Wednesday, 30th August. It’s always a lovely morning in school as the anticipation of what the new year might bring adds excitement and enthusiasm – endless possibilities await! Our new Junior Infants had no trouble at all settling in, in fact, they got straight down to work! We don’t know how we ever managed without them and are delighted to have these boys and girls and their families join our school community here in Rathpeacon. The children from Senior Infants to Sixth Class settled into the new routine quickly. All classes were busy with lots of activities as we kicked off our school year with a bang! There’s already a lot to look forward to in the weeks ahead with the Lord Mayor’s Visit, Sciath na Scol matches, swimming, art and gymnastics! We are looking forward to the coming school year and we can’t wait to share our photos, news and stories with the readers of The Muskerry News!
