After falling short in four semi finals the Muskerry Arms laid that statistic to rest on Monday night in the River lane by winning the CDO Division 3 league in fine Style. After winning a tough semi final 3 – 1 against Jack Fords with Graham Murphy, Hugh Finnerty and Michael Bevan Winning for the Muskerry it was Muskerry Arms V a very good Ma Dulleas in the Final ( who defeated the River Lane in their semi 3 – 0 ) High scoring and clinical finishing saw the Muskerry Arms take the title 3 – 0 with Graham Murphy, Hugh Finnerty and Michael Bevan unstoppable on the night. There was great darts thrown by all teams on the night with 3 x 180′s and some high finishes. Michael Bevan took the man of the match award with 18 and 21 darts in his Match. Having secured promotion things will get tougher for the Muskerry Arms but based on Monday night’s performance they have no one to fear. It took a team effort to get to the finals so well done to Johnny Kelleher, David Lynch, Chris Dillworth, Dillon O’Riordan, Capt Shane Dennehy, Tom Flaherthy, William Lehane and Chairman Dave Fitton and Gary O’Connor ( Muskerry Arms ) for his unwavering support of the team. Finally best of luck to Hugh Finnerty and his son Alan who play in the INDO “B” all Ireland’s next month representing Laois.
