Blarney Community Council are looking forward to the first St Patrick’s Celebration in the village for three years.
The day long event will take place on Saturday 18th March and include an open air music festival highlighting some of the incredible talent we have in the area, street traders, and many more surprises. The live outdoor music festival will include the sounds of the Two Time Polka Band, Banjo Jim, a four piece trad group and Blarney Brass and Reed Band, with thanks to Anna Mitchell Youngsters School of Music for organising the music. Our own Club Ceoil will be there too sharing their love of traditional music with us.
The Church of the Resurrection will be open for the day and are planning fun crafts and activities for all the family, and cakes and bakes with the church open from 1pm onwards. From 2.30pm – 4.30pm you can drop in for activities, crafts and the chance to learn a bit about the real St Patrick. No pre-booking necessary. The Gab will be taking over the church from 7.30pm – 9.30pm, one not to be missed! With all International sport on big screens, fabulous music and great food and music in all local venues it’s going to be a great day, see you there!
