Planning permission has been lodged with Cork County Council for the construction of 45 dwelling units including 4 number 4 bed dwelling houses, 33 3 bed dwelling houses, 4 2 bed dwelling houses and 4 2 bed duplex apartments for the piece of land between Dairygold and the Grotto car park in Coachford. The proposed development will be accessed through a new entrance road opposite the Garda Station on the main Coachford to Macroom road.
