BCC needs you!

Blarney Community Council (BCC) are looking forward to a really great 2023! You will have seen the messages on our facebook page or the Muskerry News about the forthcoming St. Patricks Weekend. As this is our first event for a long time, we are going limit the occasion to Saturday 18th March, with open air music, street traders, amusements, vintage cars, and a whole lot more. As part of our fundraising for this event,we have organised a Quiz Night in the Castle Hotel on Friday January 27th and intend to share any profits with Blarney Community First Responders.

Remember BCC is for everyone! You might want to get involved in our very active Tidy Towns group (who also did a super job recently visiting schools explaining about littering), take part in one of the many events or classes held in our local hall (which is also available for rent), or just get involved in community activities. We would to thank everyone especially for the great feedback and engagement we have received on facebook and personally to any of the committee. At this time of year, it is also important to thank all our sponsors, without whom we wouldn’t survive, and we actively encourage all in the Blarney area to support your own. There may come a time when your children or grandchildren are looking for a job locally and it’s these are the businesses we need to look after by spending locally where possible. If you have any ideas, or would like to get involved, you can contact us through our facebook page.

May I take this opportunity, on behalf of Blarney Community Council to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2023, Can you crop his head out of the attached pic please Joe Enright Chairman
