Mary O’Mahony remembered at Ballincollig Business Association Golf Classic

Golfers turned out in droves to support the Mary O’Mahony Golf Classic held recently at Lee Valley and enjoyed a fun filled day and glorious sunshine. This annual event is organised by the Ballincollig Business Association to raise much needed funds for the Ballincollig Festive Lights. The late Mary O’Mahony, former Chairman of the association, initiated the Lights project for the town and, until her untimely passing last year, was one of the main organisers of the annual fundraising event. Lee Valley Golf and Country Club was in pristine condition on the day and the event had a strong turnout. The on going support of Ballincollig’s business community serves to underline the entire town’s commitment to thrive and grow, which is benefitting everyone living and working in Ballincollig and the surrounding hinterland. Make no mistake, Ballincollig is thriving. Emer Cassidy, current BBA Chairman, thanked everyone for their support including the local businesses and the main organisers of the event Ronan Nangle of Nangles Nurseries and Mark Jordan of Nevada Bobs. The BBA meets every Tuesday morning from 8am – 9am in Nosh+Coffee in Ballincollig.
