Will you give them hope?

For the past numbers of years Ballincollig Community School (BCS) in association with The Hope Foundation have been arranging for a number of their 5th year students to travel with the foundation to help in the projects they undertake for the Street Children of Calcutta. Adam Collins from Ovens, a fifth year student in BCS, is one of those chosen to travel to Calcutta in February 2015. As a Fundraiser for this Hope Foundation project there will be a three-part Stage Show upstairs in The White Horse, Ballincollig, on Friday October 17th at 8pm. The show opens with a stirring presentation of Traditional Music le Ceolteoirí Óga Bhaile ‘n Chollaigh directed by Martin Power. This is followed by a welcome return of ‘An Grá san Amhrán’ with Máire Ní Chéilleachair, Eleanor McGillicuddy, Diarmuid Ó Cathasaigh, Dixie Collins, Mick Heffernan, Eoin Verling, Brian McGillicuddy and Muiris Mac Giolla Choda. To close proceedings there will be an open house singing session with ‘Fear A’Tí’, the Bard of Bandon himself, Din Joe Collins. This promises to be a night of great entertainment for a very worthy cause. Don’t miss it!
