There was glorious sunshine in Whitechurch when hosted the Munster Championships. It was an incredible day for the club with clubman Eoin Allen winning the Senior event and also taking the coveted Ray Looney Memorial trophy with a blistering sprint down the home straight, a trophy which lists arguably the greatest names in Irish cycling. Minutes earlier Mark Pinfield secured the Masters Championships with a savage solo break away. In the ladies race Blarney CC rider Carthach McCarthy took silver to Shona Keane of Greenmount who took gold and the Fiona Meade Perpetual Cup! The club also took gold in the Master team event for Mark Pinfield, Gerard Cummins and Christopher Kendellen. Congratulations to all the medalists and all the riders who took part!
