All smiles at Donoughmore Carnival

a17452be-d1ae-410e-b87f-ec817eabf304 commenced on Friday 22nd July with the hilarious Anne Gildea “How to get the Menopause and enjoy it “ show and concluded with a BBQ on Sunday 24th. There was an amazing array of events to cater for all ages over the weekend. There were matches in all sporting codes for all ages. There were also competitions in skittles, churn rolling, sheaf tossing, kids races, egg throwing, wellie throwing, a penalty shoot out, a mini-digger challenge and a fabulous fancy dress competition. On Saturday night a beautiful ceremony was held in the community centre where a meeting meeting was named The Noreen O‘Regan Meeting Room in memory of our late friend and colleague, Noreen, who dedicated so much of her time for the community of Donoughmore. Her beloved catering club did her proud by providing teas/coffees and cakes for all present. A fitting tribute to a great lady. This was followed by the return of bingo to the parish with a huge crowd enjoying the event. The vintage rally on Sunday was very well attended with lots of vehicles on display which attracted great interest from those present. Also on Sunday, Donoughmore Toddler Group, held an amazing event for this age group including face painting, dressed up characters, colouring sheets and giant board games.
