recently held their exciting International Speech and Evaluation Contests with five contestants in each contest. As Blarney is now an international online club using Zoom, some of the contestants were local members whilst others Zoomed in from England and Scotland to participate. Moira O’Brien won both contests and will go on to represent the club in the Area A3 Contest to be held on Wednesday 23 March at 7:30pm. Guests are welcome to watch this contest of speakers from local clubs. Club President Ted Mellamphy was runner-up in both contests. Blarney Toastmasters Club invite guests to regular meetings on 2&4 Tuesdays of every month at 7:45pm. The next will be held on Tuesday 8 March with the theme “Marching Forward” so do join us at https://bit.ly/ByTM There will be 5-7 minutes prepared speeches with evaluation and guests are invited to take part in short impromptu speeches called “Table Topics”.
