Coachford Community Text Alert meeting will be held Monday night, February 14th, at 7.30pm in Coachford GAA hall. New members wishing to register for Garda vetted text alerts are welcome and existing members can renew their membership on the night. Membership for the year is €10 and local Gardai will attend on the night. Community Alert is a community safety programme for rural areas. It operates as a partnership between the community, An Garda Síochána and Muintir na Tíre. Its aim is to reduce opportunities for crimes to occur. A strong and active Community Alert system benefits everyone and the more people involved the safer our community will be.
