Cor Geal bring Christmas spirit

Not people to let a mere pandemic stop them, for the second year running, Cór Geal presented the uplifting and magical Whitechurch Carol Service virtually. This year’s beautiful virtual concert took place on Sunday December 19th online through their website www.corgealchoir.ieand also on YouTube where more than 7,500 people enjoyed the service. The concert was promoted globally through the offices of the Department of Foreign Affairs, delivering a little piece of home to the many thousands of people unable to travel to be with loved ones this Christmas. Within Ireland people listened in huge numbers whilst sitting at home, in residential care and nursing homes, and in hospital thanks to Kevin in CUH FM and other local hospital stations. Those who ‘attended’ were given the opportunity to donate to Cork Mental Health FounPerforming IMG_8933dation and Housing Association, which received a very welcome donation of €4250. The concert was filmed by TVM Productions and Musical Director, Betty Fitzgerald, was said to be delighted with the performance. Cór Geal also appeared on Today Show bringing some much needed Christmas spirit with Maura & Daithi and their viewers as they performed O Holy Night. A date for your diary!

Cor Gael will be performing at Cork Opera House on Sunday October 23rd 2022 Opera House, with tickets going on sale shortly. Don’t miss out! Their last concert sold out in days leaving many people disappointed.
