Busy term at Vicarstown national school

We were delighted to get the opportunity to celebrate our Confirmation and First Holy Communion sacraments with Fr. Damian Lynch, it was absolutely wonderful to have such lovely intimate ceremonies in our local church here in Matehy.

We really enjoy our harvest from the school garden, and grow rhubarb, radishes, carrots, swedes, onions, strawberries, and lots of flowers! Our ‘Chef in residence’ is pictured with her fabulous omelette which she made using the onions from the harvest.

6th classLast years sixth class returned to pay a visit in their new uniforms. We broke all records this year as the 16 pupils now attend eight different secondary schools! We send them all every good wish for the future.
