Coachford Tidy Towns thank volunteers

Coachford Tidy Towns thanked all who turned up in such huge numbers to pick up over 180 bags of litter from all over the Countryside. From the top of Bealnamorrive over to Aghabullogue, back to Aghavrin, over to Farran Wood, up to Coolacullig, Kilgobnet, along the Peak line, back to Carrigathou and Glashagarrive all over Rooves beg, up to Tulligmore, down to Dripsey Bridge, the Greenway, Nadrid, Clontead, Dereen, Fergus and all over the village. They were hoping that a few people would come out and help but were blown away with the numbers of adults and children that descended on the roads and byroads of this wonderful community. In addition to all the volunteers Coachford Tidy Towns Committee thanked Liz Thompson at Coachford Post Office for sponsoring the litter pickers, An Taisce and Cork County Council for gloves, bags and extra litter pickers, An Garda Síochaná and especially Garda Eamonn O’ Riordan for helping to keep everyone safe on the road and O’Riordan’s Plant Hire, Fergus, for the signage.
