Kevin is a sad loss to Blarney

We were really sorry to hear the news of the passing of Kevin Conway. A proud former local County Councillor, where he deputised for the County Mayor on many occasions, Kevin also stood in the 2011 general election in the constituency of Cork North Central.

Involved with community work for over thirty years in Blarney, Whitechurch and many other local areas, Kevin is a former chairman of Blarney Community Council, a stalwart at Blarney Church, and was involved with Blarney Historical Society to name only a few of the many voluntary organisations that he gave his time and talents to. In 2010 Kevin Conway was honoured for his work in bringing the Blarney St Patrick’s Day parade back to life after an absence of more than 20 years by being crowned a Blarney Person of the Month. Kevin will be sadly mourned by his family and his many friends.

Blarney is a poorer place for his passing.
