This fun filled family event will commence with a cake sale and coffee morning at 10.30am until 12.30pm, followed by a bbq and live music at 12.30pm. The days fun will include face painting, pony rides, bouncy castles – and a competition for the best super hero costume. There will be a friendly rugby match at 2.30pm. Bru Columbanus provides 26 en suite family rooms with supporting kitchens and lounges where families can meet each other families who are in a similar situation and can lend support and understanding to each other. Each day families in need of accommodation are referred to Bru by the clinical nurse manager, staff nurse or social worker. Bru Columbanus is a small independent charity completely reliant on donations and fundraising initiatives to cover the running costs of the house. When families are stricken with worry for a loved one who is seriously ill, Bru Columbanus offers a haven where families can spend time while being close to the hospital or hospice.
