The October Blarney & District Person of the Month is Anne Lynch.
As her nominee told us, “I would like to nominate someone for the Blarney Person of the Month Award and in my opinion, they deserve such recognition that they should also be seriously considered as the Blarney Person of the Year! I have been considering nominating this person for a number of YEARS however I always thought their selflessness and humility would have made such an award almost an embarrassment to them however the time has come for them to accept this nomination and understand the amazingly positive impact they have on everyone they come into contact with, and the difference they make to people’s lives regardless of the consequences to themselves. For as long as I’ve known this person, they have ALWAYS gone way, way over and above for their patients, customers, colleagues, friends, neighbours and their family, and while they might take great comfort and pride from helping others, it is not evident. Therefore I cannot recommend strongly enough my colleague and friend Anne Lynch for the award of Blarney Person of the Month (and even the year!). Through, think and thin, rough and smooth, Anne is always there for all of us! Whether she’s baking cakes, calling to people’s houses, giving a hug at the counter or just passing on her wise words, Anne constantly cares for others! I do hope this nomination is considered favourably and I am 100% sure that anyone who hears of this nomination will 100% agree that Anne Lynch deserves acknowledgment and recognition for all her kindness and caring.”
