The beauty of Blarney Castle & Gardens will be celebrated with a unique special photography award in conjunction with the International Garden Photographer of the Year.
This special award will accompany a major International Garden Photographer of the Year outdoor exhibition at Blarney opening in summer 2020. This free to enter special award aims to celebrate the famous Castle plus the magical landscape and gardens through photography, and tourists and the local community alike are encouraged to take part. Visitors can make a journey through diverse surroundings from tranquil to serene, to mystical and magical places. From the top of the castle wonderful views reveal over 60 acres of sprawling parklands which include gardens, avenues, arboretums and waterways. There really are countless opportunities for photographers of all skill levels.
The Blarney Castle & Gardens Photography Award opened for entries on September 23rd 2019 and closes on June 1st 2020, and selected winners will feature at the 2020 outdoor exhibition in Blarney Castle Gardens. Prizes awarded by Blarney include first place prize €1,500, second place prize €1,000, and third place prize €500,
