Christmas came early to Grenagh with the news that the future of their local Post Office had been saved by Matt and Sue from Costcutter Grenagh who stepped in to keep this valuable resource within the community. With more than 174 post offices closing down throughout the country, great credit is due to Matt and Sue for negotiating a seamless move for the Post Office which now operates within Costcutter. The branch is now managed by Nicole Sherlock who is already extending the range of products available. Talking to The Muskerry News Nicole said that the recent introduction of foreign exchange has been a huge success, and she is very excited over the upcoming launch of the 10 currency FX card, and will be delighted to explain the many benefits of this card to customers. Another benefit of a local post office are the many saving schemes on offer, and what better gift this Christmas than the habit of saving which you could give to a child by opening a savings book for them. The Post Office has also extended their opening hours and now remains open throughout lunch.
