Grease comes to Ballincollig Community School

On the 21st to the 23rd of November the Transition Year students of Ballincollig Community School will be performing a spectacular show based on the musical production, ’Grease’. All members of the show have been working their socks off since they went back to school in September. With show rehearsals taking place every Monday and Thursday and perfecting their singing with Ms. Healy during the week, they have certainly kept on their toes. Dancing and acting skills have really progressed with the help of Mr. O’Sullivan, Ms. Kiely and the amazing choreographer Naomi Luttrell. The show would not be complete without all the spectacular costumes. Ms. Bowen has done a fantastic job at running the Costume Department smoothly. The Art Department is designing the back drops and the Woodwork Department is supplying the major props and everything is starting to fall into place! Taking part in the school show has already been such an incredible experience and all TY students are looking forward to sharing the experience with you. All the cast have formed such a strong bond over these past couple of weeks and it is safe to safe to say they really do work well as a team and will carry this fantastic experience with them into the near future. There is so much talent and dedication amongst the cast and everyone is excited. Please do come and join us in this amazing experience, I guarantee that you will not regret it. Student tickets are €8 and adult tickets are €12. The show will commence at 7:30pm sharp. Tickets are available to be purchased at the school.
