Courtbrack Vintage Society are delighted to announce that we will be teaming up with the children’s charity, iCAN, the Irish Children’s Arthritis Network, for our upcoming Annual Road Run on 20th May. ICAN is a 100% volunteer based, parent-lead, grass roots charity which aims to make things better for kids in Ireland with Arthritis. Currently, there are over 1,000 children under the age of 16 in Ireland with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), which occurs when the immune system starts attacking the body’s own joints. Because children are continuously growing, any extended period of inflammation can effect their joint formation, therefore early and aggressive treatment of this type of Arthritis results in the best outcomes for children. We are delighted to be able to support this very worthwhile charity and do our piece to raise money for children who suffer from JIA, both on a national and local level. To raise as much funds as possible, this year’s Road Run is open to tractors of all ages, vintage cars and motorbikes, so please spread the word, and join us on Sunday, 20th May at Courtbrack Community Centre for a great day, and great food. Registration from 10.30am. For further information, keep an eye on our facebook page, or contact John on (087) 7838513 or Tim on (086) 8045467.
