Congratulations to Liam Griffin who recently received a lifetime achievement award from CMAP for his commitment to Martial Arts since 1979. Liam, who heads the hugely successful Cúram de Cara Karate Club, has seen his students achieve incredible medal successes around the world. Cúram de Cara, previously known as Blarney Karate Club which trained in the old TA Hall in Station Road since 1979, now operates from Christy’s Health Studios Blarney and hold weekly classes for adults, and children from 5 years and upwards. They are affiliated to the Irish Karate-Do Federation (IKF), Irish Martial Arts Advisory Council (IMAC) and the World Union of Karate Federations (WUKF) and their instructors are all highly qualified adult Black Belts, Garda vetted and have received training in first aid and child protection.
