Busy term comes to a close at Cloghroe National School

Spikeball. After seven weeks of coaching from Transition Year students, fifth class children from Cloghroe NS participated in a fun Spikeball blitz in Ballincollig Community School. Aistear. Children in Junior Infants had great fun exploring the theme of the pizzeria during Aistear. They enjoyed role playing, construction, play dough and even making their own pizzas!

Exploring Space. Second Class and Senior Infants have been busy learning about Space. Senior Infants headed off to space in Aistear and then went on an intergalactic mission to Second Class to look at their fantastic projects and learn from their elders.

Pitch and Putt. Sixth class thoroughly enjoyed their morning at Rocklodge. They would like to thank Steven, who taught them how to use the pitcher, how to putt the ball and how to chip the ball. On the second morning, the boys and girls enjoyed a game of scramble.

Sixth class visited Monard Mills in conjunction with their Cork Schools Heritage Project which they are undertaking this year. Tom O’Byrne owner, scientist and nature expert led a very interesting field trip. Mr Whitty, class teacher, set a variety of tasks for the pupils to further embed their learning. We look forward to their projects later in the year.
