Saint Teresa venerated in Blarney

There was an amazing turnout of people in Blarney last month for the visit of the Relic of St. Teresa to the Church of the Immaculate Conception. People came from all over Cork city, county and beyond to venerate the Relic and were present at the Mass where many received the Sacrament of the Sick. A wonderful crowd came to see off the Relic as it left Blarney after Mass on its way to Carrigaline, and thanks were paid to all who prepared everything in the Church for this special event. A permanent Shrine to St. Teresa is now established in Blarney Church, where Mother Teresa herself visited and prayed with people in 1996, just a year before she died.
