Beauty Regain is Cork’s best kept secret!

Always good to see local people recognised, and this review about Cork beauty salon Beauty Regain, headed by popular Blarney business woman Mary Coleman, makes for great reading. “We all know that finding time for ourselves is not a luxury but an essential part of life, but the days are so busy for most of us that, despite finding time for everything and everyone else, we tend to put our own needs on the back burner, and eventually that takes it toll. If you can grab a couple of stolen hours then I can think of no better place to spend them than Beauty Regain. Sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, I booked a massage on a midweek afternoon which seemed such a luxury, but two days later I’m still feeling the benefits. My shoulders are relaxed, I’m sleeping like a baby and my children tell me that my form is better too! What price could you put on that? Rosa was the therapist who looked after me, and she really did look after me. Whilst I don’t have massages on a regular basis I’m no stranger to them either, and this was exceptional. Starting on my stomach, Rosa worked her magic on my abdomen, a new and extremely pleasant experience for me. Apparently if you often have that ‘knot in the gut’ feeling that is associated with stress and anxiety (and which of us doesn’t?) abdominal massage helps to relieve some of the symptoms including helping you to unwind and with any underlying digestive issues. From there Rosa continued her mission to leave no inch of skin untouched, the full body massage really does what it says, and from the soles of my feet to the top of my head Rosa left every part of me feeling better than it had for a long time. Between the gentleness and expertise of softly spoken Rosa, and the serenity of the room which cocooned me, when I finally roused myself to get dressed and leave the room I wasn’t sure whether I had been there for an hour or a day, If you’ve ever heard the phrase ‘blissed out’ then I can testify it’s a great place to be! Shopping locally is important to me and Beauty Regain has strong Blarney connections through lovely local lady Mary Coleman, who is an expert facialist, and an advocate for healthy, glowing skin. Mary offers an extensive array of skin care treatments as well as being one of the first in Ireland to introduce Semi-Permanent Makeup and Cryotherapy. Reading through their treatment menu, other therapists include Gillian who with more than 20 years experience is a superb facialist trained to give the best Guinot facials, Emma who loves anything to do with beauty and specialises in massage, facials and makeup and Rosa, my beautiful French therapist with hands that heal! Beauty Regain is Cork’s ‘best kept secret’ for facial excellence, as it has been since it opened its doors thirty years ago. Constant training and a refusal to accept anything other than excellence for their clients has seen this wonderful salon paper their walls with the awards received, including being in the top ten salons in Ireland, and in the top 25 both in Ireland and in the UK. As the only stockist of skin brand Guinot they have been Crown Salon for Guinot for 17 years consecutively, beating off worldwide competition from their haven in Cork. Whilst being an oasis of calm within the bustle of the city, if you’re worried about parking you have no need as it is only steps away from Grand Parade car park. Now I’ve taken the plunge I’m really looking forward to my next visit, my only dilemma is which treatment to try and that’s a problem I’m happy to have!” Beauty Regain, 33, Grand Parade, Cork 021 4277181 or you can find them on Facebook.
