Active flags, gardens and sporting excellence at Vicarstown National School!

The school was delighted to announce that they were awarded our Active School Flag on the 25th of May. In one of their final active endeavours they all walked to school last Friday morning.  Thankfully the sun was shining and two nice Gardaí made sure that everyone was safe.

The school garden was given a royal makeover last week. Thank you to all of the pupils who worked very hard, painting and decorating the garden.  It is looking absolutely stunning.  Thanks also to the teachers and the parents who helped with the project.  Special thanks to Fionnuala Carroll who gave a lot of valuable input and hard work into the project.  The school had the school garden inspection by representatives from Muintir na Tire and Griffins Garden Centre who were very impressed with the garden and with the children who certainly knew their stuff!  We await the outcome, more anon!
