Calling all ladies!

The Ladies Club at The Blarney Golf Resort are rolling out a fantastic ‘Get into Golf’ program. Having worked with the CGI (Confederation of Golf in Ireland) over the past few months and under their guidance the Blarney Ladies Club have put together a fabulous program for ladies to ‘Get Into Golf’. This program is available to complete beginners who are looking to learn the basics or those who are returning to golf after a period of time away from the game. It not only offers a taster of the game, but also provides an opportunity to experience the social aspect of the club and its members and activities. It aims to give you an introduction on how to play golf but also provides a great opportunity to start a new hobby, get plenty of fresh air, and on a social aspect meet and get to know new people whilst getting an introduction to golf and the golf course. This is a structured 8 week program, where weeks 1 – 4 will be conducted by Alan O Meara, PGA professional. (Thursday evenings) Then weeks 5 – 8 will be structured on course activities with Blarney Ladies Club members acting as ‘buddies’. (Tuesday evenings). All that’s required is neat casual clothing & runners or comfortable shoes and an open mind to try something new. Cost for the 8 week programme is €50. Equipment will be provided. First lesson starts on Thursday 11th May. Lessons will be delivered by the Resorts own PGA professional Alan O’Meara including, chipping, putting and long game. Most importantly you will then get to put it into practice and play on the course in small groups alongside a ‘buddy’ from the ladies club so there is a practical learning opportunity on offer here, there will also be plenty of opportunity for cups of tea and chat after the golf. The registration evening is on Tuesday 25th April at 7.30pm in the Lions Den Club House Blarney Golf Resort. Places are limited & will be on a first come, first served basis. There is already a lot of interest are places are starting to fill up, so to secure your place complete a registration form & submit €50, or for further information please contact Anne O’Driscoll at 087 9716128, or
