Blarney well represented on Christian Brothers Team that win Munster Well done to the five Blarney players who played on the Christian Brothers team that won the Munster Under 16.5 Munster Final on the 14th of December last in Mallow, defeating Scoil Na Troinide Doon from Limerick on a score line of 1-12 to 1-8. Paddy Cremen Memorial Trophy 2016 Winner Congratulations to Eugene McCarthy Blarney GAA adult player of the year 2016 who was presented with the Paddy Cremen memorial trophy by club president Michael O’Leary in the presence of his family and St John Cremen, Paddy’s nephew.

Home For Christmas Lovely to see some present and former Blarney GAA club players home on holiday for Christmas having a kick about on our new all weather pitch during the holiday period.

Blarney Woollen Mills continue strong association with our Club Freda Hayes presented a sponsorship cheque from Blarney Woollen Mills to our 2016 Chairman Kevin Kelleher in December. Blarney Woollen Mills are great friends of Blarney GAA Club and have provided the main sponsorship to our club for over 40 years. We are most grateful for their continued support on and off the field for all those years. Sponsorship is vital to run our club and we encourage all our members & friends to support our sponsors.

Santa visits Blarney GAA A big thanks to Santa and all of his little helpers for visiting Blarney GAA on the last Saturday before Christmas. It was a great effort by all. The kids had a great time meeting Santa and running around our new artificial grass pitch.

Munster Council Grant We were delighted to receive €10,713 from the Munster Council towards our club development. This will assist our fundraising efforts towards the cost of the project, which includes a 3G artificial grass pitch and a new ball alley.

St Stephen’s Day walk What a great morning we had again this year for our St Stephens Day walk. Thanks to the Blarney Castle for allowing us the use of their fantastic grounds and to The Blarney Castle Hotel for managing the catering after the event.
