Busy term at Berrings National School

Sciath na Scol have launched an exciting new initiative focusing on Indoor Football. This year, the focus of the competition will be on non-competitive blitzes for girls and boys in 4th classes. Both boys and girls from Berrings National School participated with great success in the inaugural football games. All children received a beautiful certificate. We look forward to taking part again next year.

Congratulations to the boys from Rang Nóra, who were all awarded prizes for their beautiful artwork in the Blarney Credit Union Art Competition. The judges were very impressed by their creative pieces.

The Christmas feeling is definitely upon us in Berrings National School. The Infant classes are busy preparing for their Christmas Nativity ‘Born in a Barn’ that will take place in the school halla on December 20th. The 1st and 2nd classes are putting on a performance of ‘Ralph the Reindeer’ that same day.

We are extremely lucky to be welcoming back Seán Keane and his band to Berrings. The 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes will be performing a few songs with Seán Keane during his ‘Christmas by the Hearth and New Day Dawning’ concert that will be held in the school halla on December 13th at 8pm. It is a very Special Occasion for the school and the proceeds will go towards our Academic and Computer Resources. We are all looking forward to a great concert that is sure to put you in the festive mood. Tickets are €20 each and are now on sale from the School Office at 021 7332101.
