Denis heads to Europe

Cdenis 21    13177521_1606903956237007_8320297457135992337_nongratulations to Denis O’ Sullivan, Whitechurch Foroige and National Council member, a 4th year student from Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal, who has been recently awarded an ‘Eil Explore’ scholarship abroad. Denis is currently at the Governor’s Institute of Vermont U.S.A where he will represent Ireland and part take in a ‘Youth leadership and social justice’ debates and discussions along with teenagers from all over the globe. The topics that will be discussed include poverty, immigration, democracy, refugees, environment, and many other issues. This one in a lifetime trip has been funded by Eil Ireland, a non profit organisation based in Cork who provides intercultural learning through study abroad, volunteer, language training, and travel awards. Over the two weeks Denis will have a full agenda but will also be introducing the Irish culture to the multinational participants.
