Blarney to twin?

We are delighted at the recent announcement that EU funding opportunities are available to ‘Twin’ Blarney with another European destinations to develop tourism linkages, and are working hard to progress this. “Blarney could look to ‘Twin’ itself, for example, with the French medieval castle city of Carcassonne and build on existing flights to grow Blarney tourism,” Damian Boylan Chairman said. Dara Murphy, Europe Minister and Fine Gael TD for Cork North Central said, “Blarney is one of Ireland’s premier tourism attractions, largely due to the tremendous work of local groups and volunteers in the town, including Blarney Chamber, Blarney Community Association and Tidy Towns groups, yet the town has further potential to grow tourist numbers, boosting local jobs in shops, cafes and hotels.
