In response to the horrendous refugee crisis Blarney & District Chamber organised a collection last month. Thanks to all who came and helped, all who donated goods and money, Damian Boylan for organising the vehicles, Blarney Church of Ireland for use of the church, and Costcutter Grenagh, Collin’s SuperValu Blarney, O’Learys Centra Tower, and our local pharmacies for their generous donations. The collection sent three truck loads of clothes and toiletries to the refugee camps in Europe, benefited St Vincent de Paul’s Cork food bank and Corks homeless, and raised €700 for the Red Cross Migrant Appeal.
