There were very heavy hearts at Shournagh Childcare last week when they bid farewell to Geraldine O’ Mahony who, after 16 years of loyal service, hung up her apron in July when she retired due to ill health. “Geraldine was our cook, but much more than that, she was the anchor in the kitchen where she was like a conductor in an orchestra! She knew all that went on and let us know all the gossip and news of the day.The children will miss her dinners but we will miss her company and her quick wit,” Claire Lyons told The Muskerry News.
