Local Blarney man Brian Gabriel is currently exploring the setting up a local CoderDojo initiative. “ I was wondering if people would be interested in a CoderDojo for the Blarney/Rathpeacon area. CoderDojo is a volunteer led initiative to teach coding and computer skills to kids and teens. At the moment I’m trying to determine if there is enough support from parents in the surrounding area or if I can persuade other people to get involved. You don’t need to be a programmer get involved, anyone with any basic computers skills can help or even just to assist with admin duties would be great.
