Excellent Leaving Cert Results, once again, at Ballincollig Community School

The Leaving Cert Students of 2015, have upheld the strong tradition of academic success at Ballincollig Community School. There were great celebrations on the day with maximum points being achieved and a substantial group of students scoring in excess of 500 hundred points. “The students have worked very hard and were guided to their success, by a dedicated and professional group of teachers who went above and beyond their normal work to support the students,” said Principal, Kathleen Lowney. The phenomenal results meant that, once more, BCS students have scored higher than national average grades throughout the subjects. UCC, CIT and UL remain the preferred choice of Third Level institutions for the students of BCS with others finding their way into the local Post Leaving Cert Colleges. “The school community is now back after the summer holidays, ready for the work of the year ahead,” said Ms Lowney. “It will be another busy year and I wish all of the students, their families and their teachers all the very best”
