Cloghroe National School news

Skydome. 5th and 6th class students recently had the opportunity to interact with the planets, stars and galaxies when the ‘Skydome Mobile Planetarium’ visited the school. With the night sky and the solar system projected onto the roof of the 360 degree dome, the children’s understanding of astronomy was furthered deepened. It was both an educational and enjoyable experience! Our school song. Mr. Whittey has been very busy in recent months writing our very own school song. The pupil’s personal experiences in Cloghroe N.S. were used as inspiration for the song, which is entitled ‘Still our garden grows’. Pupils formed a choir and performed the catchy, upbeat song at our school assembly. We look forward to singing the song together for many years to come! Operation Transformation. Cloghroe N.S. is delighted to participate in the National Operation Transformation programme. Pupils are participating in a healthy eating and exercise adventure. Pupils are learning the importance of having a healthy lifestyle. We even made our own YouTube video! Fun in the Snow! Our boys and girls had great fun playing in the snow in January! We were extremely proud when a photo of our pupils was featured on TV3’s national weather report! Quiz champions!
