The Oriel House Hotel welcomes some new blood after hiring the services of James Cleary as their new Leisure and Spa Manager. James a native to Ballincollig originally from Muskerry Estate himself has been working in the Leisure industry almost 15 years. With a background in biological sciences James qualified through UL as a trainer and national swim coach. James comes to the Oriel having spent the last seven years in The Maritime Hotel, Bantry where he created a wellness facility, oversaw a very successful membership based leisure club and was the Bay Run Race Director and also worked on event management for the INEC as part of the Gleneagle Group. James has worked all over Cork and county with the Carlton Group, Kinsale, Kingsley and various other hotel chains around Cork. A keen cyclist James has completed Malin to Mizen in three days, cycled the Ring of Kerry twice in the same day in 2014 for MSD. James’ passion is cycling and is easily translated in to his day to day job helping members succeed with achieving their goals and helping people recover from injuries. Current initiatives happening in the club is a professional laser bike fit for all Oriel Members along with some super special offers to help people realise their goals for 2015. “More specialist events will be happening as a thank you to all our members for their support and this will help everyone keep their focus for 2015.”
